The Department of the Environment, and its Forestry Division, are active partners and leaders in the conservation of Montserrat’s environment, including conservation of endangered species and control of invasive species. Public awareness and outreach are an important part of their work. Recent activities have included National Tree planting day, with distribution of plants from their nursery, and production of a brochure on possible impact of climate change on Montserrat.
